CLINICAL TRIAL ELECTRONIC HEALTH RECORD SYSTEM
The Recipient Epidemiology and Donor Evaluation Study (REDS) is an international, multi-center blood safety and transfusion medicine research and clinical trial registries project, funded by the National Institutes of Health. The study objectives were to conduct epidemiological, laboratory, and survey research on volunteer blood donors to ensure the safety and availability of the US blood supply and determine the global risk for HIV, Hepatitis B and C (HBV and HCV), and other diseases.
