As the Vice President of Software Architecture, Ron Denis leads the FEI Software Architecture Group. In this role, he helps to define and enforce FEI’s software architectural standards and to provide architectural guidance to all active projects. He is critical to the management and administration of Pillar—FEI’s foundational and reusable components. He oversees the creation of tutorials and documentation of FEI’s architectural standards and development methodologies. Mr. Denis has 24 years of experience in health IT. Mr. Denis was previously Architect and Lead Programmer at Lucent Technologies, where he designed and developed the Lucent Services Link application—a showcase system across the enterprise. He also designed and developed Lucent’s B2B XML data feed for the management of product quotes and orders, and the Lucent WebMethods EAI client broker application used to publish Lucent Order information on Lucent’s WebMethods EAI bus. For the past 15 years, Mr. Denis served as Chief Architect, Architect, and Lead Programmer at FEI. He has extensive experience directing projects from an initial vision to project delivery. He was the lead architect and programmer for the WITS behavioral health electronic health record system. He provided technical leadership and management support for several multi-year, multimillion-dollar federal and state health IT projects. Mr. Denis designed and developed the Enterprise Architecture Framework to support an application that is built around a core and can be customized to provide different business rules, a different look and feel, and added features for each installed instance. Mr. Denis has a Master of Science in Computer Science.
