Chief Information Officer Joao Blomberg directs the planning and implementation of enterprise information technology in support of FEI operations in order to ensure the effective, efficient, and secure operation of all IT systems. Mr. Blomberg has nearly 20 years of experience managing IT teams, and developing, deploying, and managing large-scale enterprise grade capabilities and solutions. Prior to joining FEI, he led IT capabilities for global firms, such as Booz Allen Hamilton, Howrey LLP, and Squire Patton Boggs. At Squire Patton Boggs, Mr. Blomberg was Director of Enterprise Architecture and Strategy, responsible for definition and implementation of IT strategy and enterprise architecture programs, information security, IT budget management, and management of the organization’s IT operations team. He is an expert in enterprise architecture, IT operations and security, IT research and development, systems engineering and systems integration. He is skilled in compliance and regulatory standards, such as NIST, ISO 27000 series, FISMA, EUDPD, Safe Harbor, HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, Section 508, and others. Mr. Blomberg holds Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Master of Business Administration degrees. He is an ISC2-CISSP Certified Information Systems Security Professional, an EC-Council-CEH-Certified Ethical Hacker, an ISACA-CISM-Certified Information Security Manager, and an IAPP-CIPP/US-Certified Information Security Manager.
