Primary Responsibilities:

o    Perform business/data analysis and develop logical and physical database schemas

o    Prepare requirements, design and program specification documents

o    Create and optimize database views and query statements

o    Develop scripts to migrate database from one version to the next

o    Support multiple development and production environments

o    Responsible for version and release management for database deliverables

o    Responsible for data consistency and integrity

o    Analyze data flows and report production

o    Improve current procedures and practices

o    Translating business rules into application requirements

o    Database normalization and de-normalization for performance

o    Ensure that the best analytical processes are being applied

o    Develop and enforcing change management processes

o    Mentor junior staff members

Required Skills:

o    Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

o    Strong SQL skills and a thorough understanding of database constructs

o    Strong data analysis and data quality assessment skills

o    5+ years experience in database design and management in a production environment

o    Experience in SQL Server database

o    Performance trouble shooting and remediation

o    Ability to develop and follow change management processes for consistent and maintainable versions

o    Fluent in one or more scripting languages for use in maintenance and data migration tasks

o    Experience with report development process

o    Database administration with physical/logical file organization

Desired Skills:

o    Experience in data warehousing

o    Experience in replication

o    Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related degree

o    Technical writing
